Inn is a small Bed and Breakfast on the tranquil Caribbean Island of Vieques,
Puerto Rico, USA. The first floor has three large rooms with private baths, a common area with
a small collection of books and games. Breakfast is served here.
There are three large rooms with private baths, and one fully equiped apartment
on the second floor. Families and groups may want this entire top level
for extended stays at special rates. Each level has a refrigerator and
microwave for your use.
We
encourage you to enjoy our rooftop garden and observation deck. From here,
the trade winds and ocean views are entrancing. This is a place where
guests relax and enjoy the company of one another. We also offer an honor
bar. It is always stocked with ice, bottled water, soft drinks, juice,
beer, wine, rum, and etc.
The Inn is shaded by the foliage of poincianna, acacia, quenepa, (honeyberry), papaya and banana trees
Vieques is where people go to do nothing at all except stretch in the shade of the nearest palm on gorgeous, nearly empty beaches and now and then take a dip in the clear tropical waters of the Caribbean. Scuba and snorkeling enthusiasts will find spectacular underwater scenery. The bioluminescent bays are a major attraction. The Bioluminescent Bay in Vieques, often referred to as the 'Biobay', is a magical place. Few natural phenomena in the world compare to the exquisite beauty of this biobay. Kayak through the stars with Golden Heron and see the Bioluminicent Bay.

We know you didn't come to stay in a hotel room, but even so, the time between trips to the beach, and in the evenings should be a place to which you are glad to return. We think you will agree that Adventures Inn offers quiet comfort in congenial surroundings at affordable rates.
GETTING THERE
Vieques is a 8 miles off the eastern coast of Puerto Rico. The plane ride from Fajardo is ten minutes and the price is $19. The planes are 9 to 12 seaters. You must make a reservation a few days ahead of time. Vieques Air Link (888-901-9247). The ferry ride from Fajardo is one hour and the price is $2 for adults and $1 for seniors and children under 12. Persons over 75 years old go free.
Friday is a day when there are more people going to Vieques and Sunday is the day more people return from Vieques on the ferry to the big island (Puerto Rico). Try to arrange your travel plans to avoid going and returning on those days. Tickets are sold on a first come basis. The ticket window opens one half hour before time to board. Some times during the season, on peak holidays, it has happened that all available seats are sold, the ticket window is closed and many are left in the lurch. To avoid this happening pick midweek day to go and return or get to the ferry dock very early to secure a place in line at the ticket window.
ONCE YOU ARRIVE
Adventures Inn is located on the greener, north side of the island in a quiet semi-rural area. It is five minutes drive from the town of Isabel Segunda where the ferry docks and ten (10) minutes from the airport. It is a ten minute walk to the north coast.
If you plan to use a rental car to travel around Puerto Rico and Vieques is one stop, choose a company with a branch office in Fajardo because you can drop the car off there and get a courtesy ride to the ferry or the airport. Check to see if the company provides this service. I know, for example, that Popular Auto (787-860-6868) and L&M (1-800-666-0807) does. Otherwise you will have to take a taxi which could add $20 to the expense. Also if you have the car for 3 days the drop off fee will be waived.
The ferry from Fajardo docks three times a day around 11 a.m. ,2 and 6 p.m.. When the ferry arrives there are about ten vans lined up to take the passengers to their destinations. The charge to take guests to Adventures Inn is $2 per person. Some of the vans have space for luggage so if you have more than one bag look for these. The publicos leave as soon as they fill up with passengers so do not dawdle. Here are names and cell phones of publicos drivers that frequently come to Adventures Inn with guests. Isabel Segunda (town plaza shown at left) is quiet, picturesque, clean and reminiscent
of earlier times. The shaded Plaza is in the center of town with the
mayors office on the corner, two churches, and a community center on the
others. The main street runs for a few blocks to the ocean where the post
office, bank and a number of stores and restaurants line both sides. One
street over, parallel to the main one, is another street of business, restaurants
and the town library.
RATES AND CONTACT INFORMATION
All rooms are $80 per night with TV with DVD Players plus 9% room tax. There is a charge of $20 for the 3rd person in a room. This price includes a continental breakfast. The one bedroom apartment is $95 per night, plus tax, for two persons.
Adventures Inn is a completely non-smoking Inn. There are no designated smoking areas.
A 30% non refundable deposit is required at the time the reservation is made and the balance is due on arrival. To make a reservation, please call (787) 741-1564.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Adventures Inn does not accept reservations for fewer than two nights. A 30% deposit is collected from guest’s credit card when the reservation is made. This deposit is not refundable. The balance of the room charges is due on arrival. If, for any reason, a guest does not intend to occupy the room(s) reserved and does not notify Adventures Inn of this, at least 5 days in advance of arrival date, the entire amount due will be charged to guests credit card.
